Removed red cross from game

Hello everyone!

I just updated the game and removed the image of the red cross on a first aid kit in order to make sure the game abided the Geneva Convention. This shouldn't change anything about the game, but please let me know if you run into any issues.

imagine doing a literal warcrime in a game about a demon cat

Right?? Figured I'd just change it before someone contacted me!

It was a surprise to learn about it! No one contacted me or anything, but I figured it was best to handle it before it came to that XD

Oh nice, still love the game tho

Thank you!

ey np! Just a die-hard fan

For anyone curious, the red cross(organization) gets uppity when people use the red cross(symbol).

Yes, I only just realized thanks to someone mentioning it in a joke during a stream of the game and thought "I should probably fix that..."

why, what does the red cross have to do with the Geneva Convention, what even is the Geneva Convention.

Canadian checklist

oh never mind you're 9 you might genuinely not know, basically it's a list of rules governments  have to follow to respect basic human rights, with much of it pertaining to conduct in war, but not exclusively being about it. one being you can't use the medical red cross symbol on things that aren't medical, because you're not allowed to attack medical staff unless they are firing at you, and for some reason the Red Cross organization enforces this even upon videogames

wow

so wait, you cant use the red cross on things that arent medical, even in video games... but a first aid kit is technically medical, right? am i missing something?

"the red cross is for protected medical personnel" is the reasoning, something about demeaning the protection it means to place it in fictional settings or something? I dunno, it's dumb, and I'm not even sure they can technically enforce that, they try tho and it's often less of a hassle to just change it than litigate with them if you catch their attention

Thanks for the explanation!

Ehhhh, Red Cross may only be worn for Medical Personnel, no one else

Geneva Convention, it's also like a Rule of Engagement, like, shooting medics is a big no no, and they're very happy to see someone using the Red Cross for the entertainment, because they feel like it's all just a game
