are you working on a new game rn???

I've been brainstorming a few ideas (I've got plenty XD)!

I didn't know what to expect honestly; I will be playing more!

Thanks so much for trying out the game!

This is probably my favorite horror game of all time, do you plan on making any more games after this one?

(+1)

I'd like to because this was a lot of fun to work on! It might end up being a different genre or another horror, but I'll see what I end up with XD

I just finished watching a gameplay of this game and it's really good! This game DESERVES the horror tag. As I as watching I was wondering what program did you use to make this game? I'm guessing *Renpy because I think I recognized the text font.

Thank you so much!

The programs I used:

Ren'Py for the programming,

Medibang for art,

and Beepbox/Audacity for music/sound fx editing

I wish I there was an alternate ending for keeping "IT"

trueee

Sorry! Does ending 37 count? OwO

Very creepy! Never expected a cat to be this creepy, but good job! Also, the fish ending one. very unusual. but good, unusual! very well thought out!! one of my top games I have ever rated. 9/10!!

Thank you very much!

Ive seen nothing but fire from this game

and the lack of a android port saddens me deeply

altough I've also heard that androidifying a game can suckkkk

Sorry! I did try, but it just wasn't working out

I absolutely loved how we also have to persist as a player, making the lesson learned by the protagonist so much more valuable. And question, I achieved all the 40 endings listed but also got two ?? endings that don't show up in the list. Are there any more of these I'm missing?

(+1)

No, you got them all! The first ?? ending is technically non-canon since the rest of the game wouldn't have happened if you left it there. And the next ?? ending is just part of the story.

Sweet thanks for the reply!

I have to say thank you for making this game. I played it up to the very last ending. I don't want to go too deep into it, but even with the completely unrealistic events happening in the game, it felt so real. The cycle, the hope of change within the cycle. The pain within the cycle. The loneliness. The taking advantage of the said loneliness. A new appreciation of life and the simple choices you have after breaking free. The simple joys. And the weird fondness I had for the "cat" even as he said, "I hate you." I can't tell you how real that final conversation felt. But the greatest moment for me was seeing that sweet kitten at the end, waiting for us in our once lonely apartment. It spoke a thousand words about the "our" healing and journey at the end. I loved this, so thank you for sharing with me that feeling.

Thank you so much for sharing your feelings with such kind words! I'm glad the story resonated with you and that you liked the ending especially. Thank you for playing to the very end, though I know it was bittersweet.

Good job, BRAVA!

Thank you very much!

Let me just start off. This game is TRULY phenomonal. I LOVED it. I do not understand why there's no fandom at all though bc this deff beats doki doki imo. the symbolism and moral just hits soo hard and the true ending made me cry sm. PLS MAKE MORE GAMES PIXEL!

That's truly high praise since DDLC was one of my inspirations for the game! Thank you very much!

Got nothing better to do, heres a video tutorial on how to run the game on linux (This is linux mint 22) This should also work on fedora or any other distro, Also, from what I know, the green lines in game is not a result of linux, i think my GPU is starting to die out :(

Thank you very much for posting this!

I had such a blast playing this game, I will record even more of this game. It caught me off guard sometimes and made me really uncomfortable. Really honestly well done on the game! <3

Thank you so much for giving the game a try! I'm glad you're enjoying it so far! :D

The game got cutesy and creepy vibes especially when things got distorted.

Absolutely loved this game! I'm never sure what to expect from a free game on itch.io, but this completely surpassed all my expectations. I loved the art, the music, the mixing up of gameplay here and there, and, of course, above all else, the story.

SPOILERS:

THE INDOMITABLE HUMAN SPIRIT WINS ONCE AGAIN BABY WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I didn't think something was up with the endings until after getting a chunk of them I noticed that no matter what I did, it would lead to my death in some new, horrific way. I knew there had to be some way to win. Even with all of ITs powers, there had to be some way to escape this endless death cycle. Talking to the past victims of IT gave me chills, especially as I was getting told to persist despite there seemingly being no chance of victory. When I was prompted to press that PERSIST button, I was more than ready. The talk with IT after the chase sequence was amazing storytelling and really revealed the meaning behind this game. And adopting the one-eyed black kitten at the end was just the cherry on top.

I am glad I somehow happened to find this game out of all the others on this website. Truly the pick of the litter.

Hope to see more from you!

Thank you so much for your kind words! I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed the game and that its story connected with you too. Thank you for giving the game a try and playing all the way through to the end :D

hello! I want to let Korean people know the beauty of this game. Can I translate this game and distribute it to Korean streamers? I will leave the source clearly.

Thank you so much for playing!

I'm so sorry, I'm not able to afford a translator, but you can message me on twitter (link is on my profile page) if you're still interested in leaving your info. Thank you for your consideration!

Hello! I was playing this game on stream today and I'm having issues getting the last few endings. i got every ending 0 - 35 and it wont allow me the ability to do ending 36

I'm sorry about that! Did you try going through the guide?

(+6)

"Purrfect" game

sorry i had to make the pun since no one else did

XD Thank you!

(+2)

this game is absolutely phenomenal

Thank you so much!

I want to play this game, but I'm new to horror so I'm somewhat hesitant. Would any of you recommend this to someone newer to the genre or is this a bit too scary?

(+1)

I think you'll be okay. It's more psychological and thinking about your choices. The horror is a lot of imagined things and some imagery, so you should be fine, depending on how good your imagination is. It's totally a good game. I just finished and came back to make a donation.

super helpful! thank you!

it's just a cute lil kitty

!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I never really leave reviews for stuff but this! game was so good I had to write my thoughts down.

I went into this expecting the standard fare from this genre of game but wow this surpassed my expectations.

The gameplay was great. I expected tracking down all the endings to get a little tedious considering how many endings there were but to my surprise  it was actually really fun. The occasional shifts in mechanics (ie: the mirror maze and the final chase) did a great job at shaking up the status quo in an interesting way that still fit the visual novel format.

The overall aesthetic of this game from its art to its music really created this eerie dreamlike vibe especially with all the bizarre events.

The story was great too. The metaphor was pretty clear without being too heavy handed with it and the ending actually made me tear up a bit.

100/10 game

:'D Thank you for your kind words and for playing the game! I'm glad to hear you enjoyed the gameplay and the story -- and also that the length didn't make it get too boring XD Thanks again!

I just finished the game today, it was fun!

I'm glad you enjoyed the game! Thanks for playing!

(+1)

wot is this?

I love this game! Never imagined I'd play a game of such a cute cat to be the most terrifying thing in the world

Thank you so much! I'm glad you're enjoying the game!

I haven't completely finished the game yet but so far its SO good and really unique so ty for making this.

Glad you're enjoying the game so far! Thanks for playing!

(+3)

This game is waaaaay more polished and deeper than DDLC, I love it, almost like the developer knows my intentions

Thank you so much!

(+4)

Love how you managed to make a smol kitty scary, that's a real achievement

Thank you, it's my best skill XD

(+2)

I loved this game , it should be more popular!! It's some quality horror and the musics OH THE MUSICS

Thank you so much for playing!

(+3)

I want to say that, I loved this game.

I've always limited myself to watching gameplays because I'm never sure I want to install something without knowing if I'm going to like it. I'm glad this time was the exception.

This is the first time I've played a game of this style, and I don't regret it, now it's my new (and only one) favorite game. It's also the first time I've made a comment (pls don't bully me), but Idk, I felt like I wanted to say something (even if no one ever reads it).

I really felt like the protagonist of the story, and that made me stay glued to the screen, completing each ending (yes, I did all forty) and wanting to know more and more about whatever was going on.

In short (it's a lot of text, sorry about that-), I really really really REALLY LOVED this game, believe me, if I had money I would give everything to support it.

Anyway, thanks for making this game and... yeah, I think I'll be playing it every day from now on.

😺👍

Now I think I may have exaggerated a bit...

:'D Thank you so much for your kind words! No worries about the length, I'm honored that your first comment was for my game XD

I'm the same way much of the time, playing games vs watching let's plays, so it might be hypocritical of me but I'm glad that you decided to give my game a try yourself. I'm happy that you enjoyed it and connected with the story and the protagonist.

Thank you very much for playing!

(+6)

Never in my life, until now, had I ever been interested in completing  every ending of a game.

POV: IT watching over your decisions.

I love this goofy cat. it’s feet are what kill meeeee :’)

Why does it actually look like the cat ingame .. LOL

OMG That's perfect! XD

Thanks so much for playing!

(+2)

good game!

Thank you so much!

(+1)

I don't care, the lil guy is just too fluffy for me to leave, and besides, the cat is acting like a normal cat.

Totally normal! OwO

Spoilers ahead, please be warned :)

Can you say a game where you are mauled in nearly every ending is 'gut-wrenchingly beautiful?' I'd say so! A friend and I played this through from start to end, including all 40 endings just yesterday - and this game was a complete delight from start to finish. The sound effects were well chosen and terrifiying, the music was great, and the jumpscares were well-timed and scared me right outta my skin, especially towards the end! Not only were the endings absolutely horrifying, but the choices and routes spooked me too. I especially liked that new choices came to surface after we had unlocked certain endings. I especially enjoyed the carnival minigame, especially with the settings to increase the difficulty, and enjoyed the chase scene at the end of the game. One path that specifically stood out to me was the 'dog park,' for something that's pretty hard to turn into nightmare material it sure gave me a fright three or four times throughout the course of the game. :P My favourite endings, apart from the obvious one had to be 24, 26 and 33.

What I would infer to be the 'true' ending, where we finally release ourselves from 'It'  got bittersweet tears out of me. The meaning behind the game and It's metaphor was clear, simple and kept the downright horrifying feeling I had held since starting the game once it sunk in. I felt such a mixture of emotions towards both It and the player, I think the ending was fantastic, meaningful and couldn't have been better. ;')

Thanks for sharing such a wonderful game with us! It's one of my favourites I've played all year!

Thank you so much for your kind words! QuQ

I'm happy to hear that enjoyed both the technical and emotional aspects of the game, both the gameplay and the story. The game's story means a lot to me, so I'm glad it connected with you too :')

Making a horror game and hearing that it was actually scary to people is also nice to hear XD

I'm glad you enjoyed it, thank you so much for playing!

I absolutely love this game! Was way scarier than I was expecting. I only made it through about 6 ending so far, but I plan on trying to get the other endings at some point. I did a lets play of it and will probably make more until I get all the endings. Absolutely phenomenal!I look forward to more games by this person. Keep up the amazing work!

Thanks so much for trying out the game! I hope you enjoy the rest of the story!
