It took me about 3-4 hours to complete the game and I have to say that I'm in love. The art style, the soundtrack, the storytelling... The few jumpscares got me good, I wasn't expecting them in a game that mainly focuses on disturbing the player.
I'd say that this is one of the best games I've ever played.
I spend two days to complete this game, and the ending moves me deeply. When I was reading the text of the ending, I didn't have much emotion, untill I heard the meow from the little black cat different from the original one. I cried the moment I heard it. Can't be more appreciate for you to create this wonderful game. I do spend a enjoyable time playing it. :)

that depends on the endings you have already, try to go through and find any choices that you didn't click! after you are positive that you've done that, the "..." choice to feed the cat when it's still in the alleyway should say something else that you are able to click!
Some options have branching endings attached to them. Most of the endings you get from not taking the cat home. Make sure to click on all starting options more than once and do every variation of options that they give you.
I've played for a bit and enjoyed it a lot! The art style is so eye-catching and the whole setup is intriguing to say the least. Would you be interested in having it translated into European Spanish? This game is AMAZING. Thought that it'll be some just simple horror game with a cat in it. Turns out I was wrong. It has such a beautiful and entertaining story behind it all, making you think about yourself and others. "Maybe life's worth living?". I think this game perfectly matches the "don't judge a book by it's cover". And to see that this game is free? It's like woah... I had the misfortune of falling in love with this cute kitty cat who was something out of a Cthulhu horror book. There are multiple endings and the game changes each time you play it, which I thought was very cool. I do enjoy the writing, but it can get a little drawn out and you're just waiting for something to happen. But love the dynamics of the game! :)
great writing and hours of content, a very good game i have been playing for months, if you like games that are just a little scary, this is the best game for that. 5 Stars.

I absolutely adore this game. It's one of the first games i downloaded on itch.io, and since then i've been absolutely mesmerized for the story. I related so much to the MC and their ending was really beautiful, the entire game itself it's so well-written i was immediately hooked :D

You're fine! When you choose to go back, it takes you back to before completing the last four endings -- it's just an option to make things easier for completionists who missed Ending 37 or any unique dialogue in the other different endings.
he warned... DO NOT TAKE THIS CAT HOME, but above all, very cool game, quality, story, endings, appearance etc. I didn't explore everything, but I liked it. hehe
THIS WAS SUCH A GOOD GAME!!! It made me so happy in the end when the MC got a new little kitty, I hope the MC lives a happy peaceful life now with their kitty.

That's odd, Ending 37 is optional, but you shouldn't be able to proceed to the endgame endings without Ending 36. I'll have to look into it, thank you so much for letting me know!
Also, you're not weird! I think a lot of people wished that 'it' was the kind of cat that's safe to take home, but alas (╥﹏╥)
It's unique, refreshing, and the message in the end tugged on my heartstrings (I also feel oddly connected to the MC). It's all the stars in the universe out of 5 stars for me. Really fucking epic and definitely one of the best games I've ever played <333
Really nice game, honestly would not have done all the endings as quickly as I did without the ending guide. So many different choices and a lot of stuff to explore, heavily recommend if you like games with good twists. Only thing I did not like or not understand:

How did those other souls in the end execute a exe file? Is this an example of 4th wall breaking? The character definitely was not aware they were in the game which is what confused me, and there was no hint about the player controlling the character as the character saw the choices (like in the end chase scene) and chose them accordingly to get away, which leads me to believe that there was not meant to be any 4th wall breaks, but instead hinting that their world is like binary coded or something like the matrix without explicitly saying it. This part just confused me as I am not sure what the developers intended with this, it may've made more sense to just give the souls some powers or something and try not to hint at 4th wall breaks that don't really add anything but just make the ending more confusing... or maybe I just did not understand the point of them. The actual ending was nice, though.
An overall 8/10 for me, that part I mentioned above did make the game more confusing, but like I said before it may have just been me being stupid and not bad writing.
That was probably my least favorite element of the story too, so you're not alone there!
I had originally intended it to connect to the MC's original career, but I decided to keep the MC as a blank slate to focus on more on the story's themes. It's the one part of the game where I cringe a little when hear it (that, and the parts where I hear my own voice >w<). I realized that I should've left that part out and just let the souls help the MC without accidentally hinting at a 4th wall break, but by that point the game was out.
I decided to let it stay and be a lesson for myself for any future games I work on -- to more carefully consider whether or not what's written benefits the story.
