I just wanted to say this is a really good game, and I love the art style. My first playthrough, when I found the mirror maze, I activated hard mode and beat it first try in hard mode! And the description of the ending reflected this too which was awesome. And, during the 8 lives remaining ending, i guessed the word first try no mistakes without using the hint.
My favorite endings in this game would have to be ERROR, and the dog park ending (Which I got in my first cycle, beating every quick time event!), although I was a bit disappointed, I had to give into leaving, I wanted to persist just to spite the voice telling me to leave!. Really good work here! Also, I'm still left without an ending, but I don't plan on removing all my work it took to escape IT and defeat it for once just to see every ending. I'd rather let the souls rest.

I'm glad you enjoyed the hard mode in the mirror maze! I wanted a little challenge in the game, but not everyone likes a bunch of gameplay in visual novels so I made hard mode optional. The ERROR and dog park endings were fun to write since they're meant to make you feel like you're doing something you shouldn't that messes with world in the game -- making IT take notice and start speaking to you more directly.

This game is wonderful, absolutely amazing in my taste of games, although I kind of wished there was a second option, after you escape the cat and decide to not take it home at all. But I wonder if there ever be a sequel for this game. That will be more interesting if it was planned or not

i played the game and got a few endings, and the ending where you turn into a fish creeped me out SOOO much that when i got into the first part of it where your legs turn into a flipper, i was like "NOPE, NOT TODAY".
i had a funny nightmare, not sure if playing this game caused it.
But i had a nightmare of a calico cat who was in my bed frame looking through a hole, but on a different hole, there was 2 red glowing eyes and i stayed away, and for some reason people in my nightmare became possessed and tried to hurt me.
Just saying this so i can have something to comment lmao
i also have night terrors that like to stare at me all night long through my window, it peers at me like a greedy goblin, i now call him boggle because goobly boogly fungy mungy hahahah
i don't know what the hell is wrong with me, but i cant get this game out of my HEAD. Great job, 18,432/10.

Absolutely! Search up Malwarebytes, SuperAntiSpyware, and Avast Antivirus download them all, run every file on your computer, Avast will scan the files, after that, any worms that have infect the video game file "do not take this cat home" will have been deleted

If you want to play again with a full reset, you'll have to delete ALL save/persistent data from TWO files -- one in the folder where you installed the game AND one in these platform-specific locations on your computer:
i finished it all in one day INSANE game (in a good way) when IT began to cry i couldn't help but feel really bad for it (maybe its a part of me too LOL) but i cant figure out one of the ending i think its the very last one yk when the game goes back to normal after everything all the endings are just the same and its saying i didnt get the final ones but i have saves from them am i just being stupid
Once you beat the game, the main menu has "..." as an option to return to the alley. If you choose to play again, it won't completely reset game, but it will bring you back to the point before you started endgame segments - so right before ending 36. That way people could replay the other endings without losing the ability to skip already seen dialogue/lines. It doesn't erase saves from when you played those final endings, but it removes them from the Endings menu.

Alright, first press the windows key.
Now type %APPDATA% and press enter.
Now, select the folder that says "renpy" and open.
Then delete the folder that looks something like "do not take this cat home".
Then reopen the game, tell me if the game doesnt restart.

Once you beat the game, the main menu has "..." as an option to return to the alley. If you choose to play again, it won't completely reset game, but it will bring you back to the point before you started endgame segments - so right before ending 36. That way people could replay the other endings without losing the ability to skip already seen dialogue/lines. It doesn't erase saves from when you played those final endings, but it removes them from the Endings menu.
So what you're seeing is normal!
